Where the people come from

Lost in Casting is the casting arm of Lost in TV, who have been ticketing television and radio studio audiences since 2003. Our network is 500,000 people across the UK, covering all major cities and everywhere in between.

How a booking works

1. Send us a brief

Role type, numbers, dates, location and the agreement you are working to. We advertise it to our network and to the Lost in TV audience, and artistes apply. You can also search the register directly and request people by name.

2. You choose

Shortlist from applications or from the register. Our job is to advertise the brief, check the people you pick, and handle the booking and the money.

3. We check before anyone is confirmed

Every artiste has their right to work in the UK verified before we will confirm them on a booking, and the check is refused if their permission expires before your shoot date. We supply adults only.

4. Digital chits on the day

You sign our artistes in and out on your phone, add travel, meals and supplementary fees, and sign everything off. The artiste sees the same sheet within minutes to accept it. No paperwork to collect at wrap.

5. One invoice

We invoice you for the day. We pay the artistes. You do not deal with fifty individual payments, and nobody is chasing your production office for a chit six weeks later.

Rates

Union agreement rates across the board – FAA/PACT, Equity/PACT, BBC/Equity, ITV/Equity. Our figures are published in full, including overtime, night rates, early calls and travel.

What we charge

We take 20% plus VAT commission, deducted from the artiste's fee. There is no separate fee to you on top.
